Don´t finish exercising without stretching.

Stretching exercises are essential in preventing injury and, most importantly, in our physical well-being.

It is a general rule for anyone who trains: our body needs to be stretched. Not only as a way to relax your body after any sport practice, stretching exercises are important to increase our flexibility and reduce the risk of injury in our connective tissues, as well as improve posture. You can practice them as often as you want in any place. Here are some stretching exercises of the various parts of the body that can perform.

Neck Stretch: tilt your head forward and gently stretch your neck. Tilt it left and right, back and forth, passing the intermediate position without making sudden movements. Turn the head slowly with your neck stretched, first in one direction and then in the opposite direction. Stretch the neck with an ear toward the shoulder, for both sides, pressing lightly on the head with your hand.

Shoulders stretch: place an arm stretched along the chest. Hold it with the other arm and press it against your chest, pushing it in the direction that the stretched arm is aiming to feel the stretching. Repeat the exercise with the opposite arm.

Wrists stretch: stretch one arm forward with the palm facing upwards and with the other hand pull your fingers of the stretched hand behind. Repeat the same exercise for the other wrist.

Back stretch: with both arms stretched forward and fingers interlocked, bend your back and pull it back at the same time you´re trying to reach your arms as far as possible.

Gluteal Stretch: get down towards the feet, grab your toes keeping a leg stretched and the opposite leg slightly bent. Repeat with the other one.
