Restoring the physical form with a session of tabata.

This new form of training promises to get you into shape in just four minutes. Discover the true miracles of tabata.

Tabata is the name of a particular physical training practiced with as much intensity as possible, but only lasting a few minutes and is ideal for those who do not like to go to the gyms and has little free time available. The designation of this practice has the name of its “inventor”. The Japanese Izumi Tabata found that when training very intensely maximum consumption of oxygen is increased, as well as the anaerobic work (that is, the muscles), increasing the speed of metabolism and so burning more calories than usual, in addition to increased muscular endurance.

The idea is to burn a lot of body fat in this short space of time by doing eight series of exercises practiced during 20 seconds with high intensity, with short breaks or with 10 seconds of low intensity exercises. You can, for example, run intensely during 20 seconds and walk for 10 seconds, repeating it eight times, making a total of 240 seconds.

You can make only one tabata daily, that is four minutes of this workout or for the toughest, several daily Tabatas. But even practicing only four minutes a day, aerobic and anaerobic capacities greatly improves, while the calorie burning is superior to that of a 60 minute aerobics class. The trick is in the intensity of the exercises must be 100%, everything you get.

The tabata trains the body in its entirety or, at least, the major muscle groups, and the exercises can be varied: from pushups to squats, plunges or situps. You can accomplish them with the help of extra weights or using just your body weight.

In case of four minutes training a day, every day you should do a different exercise, always repeating eight times, to work different muscle groups.

As a physically hard workout, the tabata practitioner must be in top physical condition, this sport is not recommended for pregnant women, or people with heart diseases or that require medical supervision.
